There's no problem with power input. Just don't feed the camera with more than 5 volts.

I bought 3 units, all funcinaran perfectly with a 3A BEC to power the camera, it is necessary that the camera is with the battery inside, otherwise not accepted external power. (only tested on GoPro 3) Turnigy camera works only supply (5V)
