sorry to say i haven't been able to try this radio out in the field yet, but 300M is rather long distance for this kind of flying..

This radio does not have much for airplane so it has not any mixers, V-tail, Flaperons, only the fundamental functions as Elevator, Rudd, Ailerons, Throttle and a few switch channel that can be used for gear and so on...
For Helicopter it has many advanced functions, some more than ordinary radios.
I give it 5 star for helicopter functions and 3 star as an ordinary airplane radio
