THIS IS THE UPGRADED VERSION OVER V8R4.

New feature of V8R4-II over V8R4

1) Compatible with all FrSky modules (V8_mode & D_mode), receive only (V8R4-II can talk with module of either mode, but it does not send telemetry information back to the transmitter).

2) Wider and higher voltage range (V8R4-II: 3.0~16.0V, V8R4: 3.2~7.6V)

3) Longer specified range (V8R4-II: >1km, V8R4: ≥500m)

How to put V8R4-II into binding mode respectively

V8FT, V8JT, V8HT

V8_Mode (Non-telemetry)

Connect battery to V8R4-II while holding the F/S button on V8R4-II

DFT, DJT, DHT, DHT-U in V8_Mode

(Switch 1 OFF and Switch 2 ON)

DFT, DJT, DHT, DHT-U in D_Mode

(Switch 1 OFF and Switch 2 OFF)

D_Mode (Telemetry)

Connect Ch1 & Ch2 signal pins of V8R4-II by provided jumper and then

connect battery to V8R4-II directly (no need to hold the F/S button on V8R4-II)

1 x V8R4-II 4-channel receiver

*The receiver is upgraded to V8R4-II (previously V8R4) since 24th Aug. 2012.

This receiver is reall small, but gives very precise servo movement.
Ground range testing in very harsh environment give 2/3 of range gained by V8R7

Got this RX with RF module couple of days ago. Then won local F3K competitions with it yesterday. In fact it was my first 2.4 G practice and it had a great success. Connection quality is perfect, range is perfect as well. I was able to fly under the clouds when the glider is almost invisible. Nice product.

Just tested out the reciver. Works very well. put it in my glider. my altimeter on board indicated 1500 ft. No glitch what so ever. Setup is very easy and flaw less. also tested the fail safe mode on the glider by switching off the transmitter. it works very well.

A nice little receiver. I've flown mine in a DLG until it was virtually out of site and had solid control all the way. Watch the antenna wire though -- if you flex it too much it may break at the PCB. Use some hot-glue to stop it from fatiguing.

They have fixed the antenna wire issue on current stock. It is not held down with epoxy on the circuit board.
I did a ground range test on this receiver, and found it still working at 2km !
