Dear Brazil customers:
As you may noticed that we restricted customers from Brazil using FedEx/TNT/DHL etc. as shipping method, because there are many Brazil customers get a problem at Brazil custom house when shipping via FedEx, there are about 5 customers were charged a very high tax of about $1380USD, and they may question and impose high tax to any order regardless the real value of the parcel.
The worst thing is that you can not even choose to discard the parcel when high tax occur, because if you choose to give up the parcel, Brazil custom will turn to FedEx for the tax, and then FedEx will bill us.
I agree that you may already received many parcels via Fedex and have no problem, the several customers who were billed high tax also received many parcels without problem before, but no one can guarantee it will not happen to you next time.
As nearly all the customers from Brazil use FedEx instead of TNT/DHL among express services, we are not sure if the same thing may happen to TNT/DHL, so it is highly recommended to use post office services instead, at least before things get better.
Besides Brazil, countries like Ukraine, Argentina etc. also have similar problem.
At the end, we would like to remind again, that any costs/tax/fees related to import in the destination country are suppose to be paid by buyers.
